Bought and registered Lightwave 9.6, but I was wondering if version 10 is supposed to show up as download-able. I know other folks in our group have already received their copies of 10 in the mail, but shouldn't we also have to option to download it?

I believe the place to download it is in the HardCORE section of the forum.

So that's the only place to get it? I'm not sure if the company paid for HardCORE memberships but I doubt it.

Better if they paid. VPR is nice addition (if you don't have FPrime), not to mention color spaces.

Here is the trial version:
http://www.newtek.com/lightwave/lwtrial.php

But, it's the LW 10 version, i think, and LW 10.1 is on the road, and will be coming soon.

I guess I'll just have to wait for version 10 to come in the mail, but I was hoping NewTek had it for download like they do for previous versions so that I could get it sooner.

If I download the LW 10 Trial Edition and register it with my existing 9.6 info (serial, dongle ID, license key, etc. etc...), will that give me the full version or is that not allowed?

lw10 uses different serial numbers

I know, but when you register 10 Trial, NT sends you a number (license key). If I were to then buy it, I would be sent a dongle. Since I already have a dongle, and I'm simply biding my time waiting for 10 to arrive, can't I do something that "activates" the Trial Edition so I don't have to wait anymore?

It's the exact same code. You have a dongle so just register it as if it's the DVD you received in the mail - theres no difference.

Thanks Snosrap! That's exactly what I wanted to hear.
