Just wondering what everyone's studio looks like. I posted another thread but that was more on the type of computer you use. Anyway, would love to see some really cool 3D studios that you guys work in. I should have some pictures of mine in a week due to moving.

Turns out my camera is out of battery... but I found this old 3d viz I did of my livingroom/3Dstudio hehe It's basicly like that, except now there's a toddler puzzle-carpet on the floor and theres volcanic ash covering everything like a layer of dust hehe :) And of course the actual computer box and bassbox w/speakers and model and mouse and keybord and ect... and you'd have to vizulize a couple of half-finished coffie mugs sitting on my desk as well, then you'd have a fairly accurate idea of what my 3dstudio looks like

Yeah, but apparently they work for beer. Gotta keep an eye on the little one though, after three beers her poly flow goes all to hell and forget about keeping her poly count under control.

If you do stuff for print then daylight is essential. No one reads a brochure in the dark ;)

We usually just run out into the hallway with the print to check it under the fluorescent lighting.

My office has very poor natural lighting conditions, I've been tempted to change location, being the lighting one of the reasons.

What an amazing office, especially love the artwork on the wall (and of course, what office would be complete without a fishtank).

Might as well upload my workspace/hub/procrastination area. Serves me rather well, Q6600 computer still my system out of frame, so rendering takes a bit longer these days.

Thanks! Your space looks pretty nice as well.

It took us 5 years to find this place, and it had been empty for 12 years when we came in. We restored it ourselves using only waste material (wood from the ceiling we took out, etc) and linseedoil paint. It's a really nice place. It works acoustically as well. Except when the bars down on the square start partying, but that has its charm as well...

Pavlov
11-30-2011, 05:02 PM
eheh... we have same issue with bar down our office, but it has not such a charm in this case, since it's one of the cheapest, unelegant and un-charmy places around there ;)

Agreed that Exception's is the biz - plants and a bar downstairs, I could really do with the bar at the end of some days :D Mind you, we've planted an orchard out the back and downstairs will be converted to an apple store / cider making room in about 3 years, so we'll have a kind of bar - well, more of a four solid wall private lock-in I guess ;) If anyone on here passes by this way they're more than welcome to come and sample some when it's ready

Honestly, Waves, after a few hours of use I thought, "well that was a complete waste of money. I hate it and will never use this." By the next day, I decided I can't tolerate NOT using it!
