just a quick image I did in my free time. I used to play with this train as a very young child.

Modeled & rendered with Lightwave10. Thanks for viewing.

Those scratches/damages on the edges give a very realistic feeling to this image! Very well done, indeed!

thank you all very much for your comments

Working on this was easy and really fun. Normally I need 1-2 days of work on an image before it starts to look better, but this time I only needed a few hours. Well maybe because the easy modelling... But most important here was I think to choose the right hdr image. I tried a lot different hdr´s from smartibl, but it looked not good, so I tried another older hdr image (with very strong lightpower) and it looked way better and much more real.

The woodtexture was really easy to make, I just used a wood image as bump+ weightmaps + crumple + some reflections (incidence angle). No nodes have been used here (except on the wheels, where I used a sss shadernode).

Looks fantastic, can you post model wireframe with weight map mode On so we can see it ? is it SubDs model ?

thank you both.

@ Lewis: In the beginning, I tried to make all the models using quads and subpatches. But I found it much more easy to make it simply polygonal so I finally decided not to use subpatches.

If someone is interested in, you can download the whole scene+all models and textures here (attached zip file).

You are awesome! Thanks! However I don't see the LWS file in the zip. Anyways, you are the man!
