Hi All , i have now a new computer ( dual xeon X5650 with 6 cores per cpu = 24 cores with hyper threading ) my problem is what lightwave 9.6 don't used the power of the machine , when lightwave is rendering a scene , the % of cpu never go up than 66% of the cpu power possibility,( see the attached file ) _ what can i do for changed that , and lightwave exploit the 100% power of cpu.

Set your multithreading option (in Render tab) to "Automatic". Not sure did LW 9.6 suported more than 16 threads which is max you can select but Automatic should use all you have IF it supports that much threads. Otherwise you'll need to go to 0 for more threads (in 10 it works right now with 64 or even more)

cheers

Thank you very much Lewis for your fast answer, your advises don't work with lw9.6 _ but, i install new lw 10.1 and the renderer engine exploit the cpu power : they are all at 100% _ thanks again:)
