Hey there, Anyone can explain or have a tutorial to show how to animate uv's in LW?

Going to animate one of these suckers http://www.varepartier.no/nettbutikk/images/treadmill.jpg

Cheers!

One way is to use a planar map and use the graph editor for the X or Z position of the image to go forward.

You could actually make the tread move using morphs, and a spline. A similar method is applied with tank treads.

Even though the method is shown with tank segments, it will probably work with a tread mill.

The animation of UV, trying to select the position tab isn't possible. I cant select any other tab either. It's stuck on Scale. Any idea why this occures?

Another way is to use an animation as the texture. Quicktime or better yet image sequence.

In Texture Editor select your uv map and an image, select Animation UV Cycler from the popup where it says (none), it's under the Mipmap Strength line. Then setup the motion in Anim UV Options.

Unfortunately, this solution works as expected until you don't have several Animation UV Cycler with different Anim UV options :grumpy:
