Hey guys, I was wondering if you can help me out. Im interesting in buying Lightwave 10. But there are so many different deals on etc that I'm wondering what will I get.

Newtek suggest buying from an international retailer on their website. The nearest one being to me in glasgow, CVP.

However on their European site the suggest it here:

Whats the difference? Does one(or both) give me lightwave core?, Lightwave 10 on CVP should be upgradable to 10.1 right? And do they both include rigging revealed? It would mean a lot to me if someone could clarify this, because theres so many factors that can suade me decisision.

You should call International sales team of Newtek on +1-210-370-8000, or CVP on weekdays. I think buying directly from Newtek should be better.
Now if you order from EU Newtek you will get the 10.1 with rigging dvd, and of course you will be a HardCore member, witch means you can download fresh builds of Core Beta.

It's a good deal. No doubt about it. But looking at prices it's a very expensive jump.

Actually can I buy it from the States website instead of the UK one? Converting it to dollars is much cheaper for us than buying anywhere else.

[edit]Actually, I just tried, they wont send it to this location. This is a bit upsetting. Why are they charging 834 in the Uk ($1393.20 USD) and 535.75 ($895 USD)

It's because of VAT, something no-one apart from governments has any control over. The basic price is the same.

Do americans pay VAT on that advertised price of $895 then?

Whether they do or not depends on the state. California has a sales tax, Massachusetts none, IIRC.

I think you can buy it from US Newtek directly. Beside once you have paid for it, you will get your license through Customer support. I bought my copy in Hong Kong for about US$900 and it was shipped from US with the dongle.

Unfortunately, I've already tried buying it from newtek US. It says they won't deliver to my address. So they'll deliver to hong kong, just not the Uk.

Has anyone bought from the US who's in the Uk?

I believe this might have to do with the VAT or some sort of Tax.
Sorry to hear about that m8.

However, have you tried to buy it through Novedge at http://www.novedge.com/products/2032 for (USD) $749.00

Novedge usually sells the softwares much cheaper.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Thanks very much! I've currently emailed them asking how much it would be to get it shipped as well as pay for it. Also asked them what it includes. Core/rigging revealed dvd/allowance for upgrades.

Thanks again! If this doesnt work i'll have to rethink the purchase, and maybe look over at another program.
