Hi guys,

I'm scratching my head trying to get hair that I've created in Layout using Fiber FX to sway when the character moves. I assumed that ticking on dynamic gravity would allow me to see that but so far I'm not having much luck. Am I assuming wrong? I've been scouring the net and I see you can do it with hair that's been created from Modeller, but what about when it was created with Layout?

Looking forward to any suggestions.

I could be wrong but I don't think FiberFilter has built-in dynamics like Sasquatch does. I've been able to fake dynamics using nodes but this basically behaves like Inertia or Lazy Points. I think the only way to get 'real' dynamics is to use use hair guides modeled in Modeler and apply ClothFX.

You can speed up processing by building cage objects for your hair and running ClothFX on the cages. This is much faster and more predictable than applying ClothFX directly to the hair guides. (FYI, this is what I typically do at work but using Sasquatch, not FiberFilter.)
