Hey all,

what are your suggestions for a good book for a beginner in lightwave 10? Also what websites would you recommend that give good beginner tutorials?

Thanks.

You will find a thread here at this forum on a new LW10-book. Please check here:

When it comes to beginner tutorials you will find a lot by searching in the forums here.

Why not begin with studying these videos of William Vaughan: http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77002.

Then you will find fresh LW10 videos here: http://cg-masters.com/videos/discipline/texture

This might be enough for the coming weeks.

Essential LW9 helps a lot... It works with LW 10 for the most features... and about LW 10 books, Inside LW 10 by Ablan (at amazon) sounds good

Also check my youtube (in sig) tutes. The alley modeling and texturing (including lighting) might be of use. They are done in LW 8 (I think). But are just as relevant in 9.x or 10.x.
