I'm trying to make tube shaped text in LW. What I mean is text which is round. Like if you would write with spaghetti for example. In print letters. Anybody know what's the easiest way apart from molding letter by letter?
By the way I don't have Adobe illustrator.
Thanks.

You could use a typeface like this: http://www.1001freefonts.com/RhumbaScript.php
and then apply some rounding to the front face. Or bevel/multishift out the front face to give it a rounded bevel look, etc.

If you wanted to get clever with it, you could take a standard sans serif face, weld average the points on either side of each letter so you end up with a single line of points representing each letter and set the Particle/Line thickness to -10 (or whatever you like, but negative) in Object Properties in Layout. It won't change how the letters look in OpenGL but at render time you'll get your tubes.

There are plenty of other ways too, including using Hypervoxels and Multishift, but you'll get there if you'd like.

Draw curves and rail extrude them?

You could also use LWCAD's Profiler, but that's a commercial 3rd party plugin.

Basically, the op IS going to wind up hand modeling them: afaik, there's just no way around it.

Be sure to get client sign-off on that, 'cuz it'll be a pain to re-do.

Definately curves with rail extrude, LWCad, Rope Editor, or Pipes.

So would I.

Curves->Sketch.

Then TAZ_Pipe_v2.
