View Full Version : Relativity question. Targeting in H only?

I've been trying to figure this for days.

I need to make an object point towards its target only on H.
I need relativity to do this for several reasons one being automatic target assignment based on clone number.
However Relativity has targeting only for all 3 axes. I only need one.
If I use trigonometry (atan2)to do this , it works fine until parent rotations come in play and screw up everything.
I wonder if there is a stupid simple solution for this I'm not seeing.

Why not use target item option on the motion panel as target, then on the Controllers and Limits tab/Rotation subtab use keyframe for pitch and bank.

If you have to use Relativity, use the target function like you tried before, then click on the limits button, turn on the limits for P & B min & max and set values to 0.

wow that's embarrassing. Just one more case of working too close to the subject I can't see an inch away.
Thanks hcoat!
