View Full Version : LW Layout: PiP Possible?

The answer might be that I have to do this in postwork, but I'm hoping there's some native support for this and I just don't know how to do it...

Can I render a scene as an animation and during render, have one camera that renders at the full frame size, then add another camera on top of the render that renders in a small section of the frame so I can render a picture-in-picture?

I'm still quite a ways off from really needing this but I'd like to be able to do something like render a model animating from a distance, but have a small section that is a first- or second-person view of the part being animated. (Looking down the barrel of a turret for example.)

Not sure I fully understand, but I think your talking about the CCTV surface.

You can use the CCTV shader for that I guess.

Someone found a use for CCTV!

Thanks! I think I can do that!

I'll have to make the surface parented to the main camera and unaffected by lighting (self-illumination) but I think it just may work!!
