View Full Version : Surface Baking Artifacts

Hi, I hope this isn't too noob a question, but I am trying to get deeper into texturing with Lightwave 10.

The process I have been trying to use is to take a shot of the model in front view, texture over that, and then use the surface baker to translate that to the UV map. Eventually, it will go into ZBrush to tidy up the seams or needy areas.

The problem I am having is that I am getting numerous voids in the bake, and the amount of time I am spending trying to tidy these up by hand is making the process not worth the effort.

So what am I doing wrong? Is this perhaps some sort of lighting issue? It occurs on every model I try to bake.:question:

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated!
