View Full Version : LW Particles in Local space only?

Does anyone know if LW Particles can run in Local space only? For example If I want to make a Fireball trail that maintains it look in place then drive the motion by a null, I don't want the particles to be affected by the nulls motion. I want it to just look the same as it is standing still.

Is that possible? I hope I explained it correctly.

I am not sure this is what you need, but you can calculate the particle simulation standing in place, save the pfx, then change the playback mode to some unused property (say parent CP).

Animate the emitter, and the particles will be repositioned/transformed according to the keyframes, but their own motion will be the original one.
