I couldn't help but to notice that Simplylightwave has been "ignored" for quite sometime. After inquiring with the Staff, it's coming back soon in less than 10 days with new look and tutorials.

Stay tune for those who are interested. Hope this news help:

Great news, and great tutorials! Good to see that they are making a return.

To change the subject quick, i noticed the other day that Swift3d have withdrawn the development of their plugin for Lightwave due to lack of demand! Boo Hoo!!

Something like this is always good news for LightWavers.

Mind you, looking at their London Bridge tutorial, it must have been revamped to match Tower Bridge since I last saw it. ;)

Ah lol the funny thing is i lived next to the bloody thing for almost 10 years and I'm English.

I quote now from our tutorial description (the new one)

Tower bridge is sometimes mistakenly referred to as London Bridge which is actually the next bridge upstream.

Anyway we fixed it here (http://simplylightwave.com/lightwave-tutorial/t572/modeling-and-projects/super-structures-modeling-tower-bridge/) thanks for that :D

If there was a lack of demand for their tool (Swift3d), who cares? Their few, few, few customers?

Sad maybe, but one of many worrying indicators about the presence and state of LW in the market.

In other words, no-one uses it except us sorry geeks.:help:

Love the new look of the site David. For me SimplyLightWave is one of the best resources for LightWave tutorials, professionally done and very useful.

url to the logo animation?

also would be really nice to have a page with ALL training videos rather than jumping in and out of boxes [pages] and trying to remember them all:)

Thanks everyone!

cresshead I'll look into putting a view all link in there slipped my mind. You can see the logo animation on the front of any sample here (http://simplylightwave.com/lightwave-tutorial/t548/animation-and-rigging/caveman-volume-3-rigging,-puppet-controls-and-more/) just click play. Really just something thrown together in AE. I am glad someone liked it :)

Cheers all

Looks very nice, but it seems to me that some old stuff isnīt there any more, like the great ocean tutorial?

maybe they are still in a process to adding and sorting things out?

Very nice. I've purchased some training from here...really solid. I think I'll have to pick up a couple more now having looked through the site again. Nice work.
