Thx Vanita.

I really liked 'I am number four'. Didn't know LW was used in it for some shots.

Well done Iain!

The link in the newsletter took me to the Feb newsletter discussion.

I really dug the Eye of the Storm project. They did an excellent job posting info and vids about the making of on their site (the link that was in the newsletter).

I'm not ot very convinced with the blue shield effect in #4. And William's work is superb as always.

The shield work isn't ground-breaking, maybe it's more complex than it looks (no offence to the guys who worked on it), but love Iain's work, as always!!

Newsletter was just in time :D

I doubt that they will put any about core in the newsletter until it is ready to be release to the public.

I would have liked there to be a little more information about the picture of the month - why it was chosen, what the artist did to create it and so on.

Yeah, it seems like a missed opportunity each time you don't include some nugget of information of an already announced product in a [somewhat] regular communique to your customers.

What? No Core info again!

Guess the Core isn't solid - still vaporware.

I'm thinking: CORE launch will open the hell's gates to AD, or a lot of people will be disappointed...AGAIN !!!!
NT must realize CORE is the only reason a lot of people are still using LW and have not yet (completely) left the boat.
We love LW...but "only time will tell..."/

Not vaporware, just "in development, subject to change".
LW10 is the focus it seems at present so I would not base anything on CORE just yet.

It is not likely to hit the ground as a fully functioning application and you can expect bugs galore in the first release once people get it and start to use it.
Factor in what has happened historically, I'd say, check back in 18 months or so.:hammer::hammer:

Not surprising that there's nothing about Core, but reading that short interview with Iain and seeing his work made it well worth it.

Awesome, Iain - your renders have always amazed me and if there's anyone in the entire LW world who can show just what kind of quality a brilliant artist using Layout can achieve, it's you. :)

Quoted for 100% agreement, Iain is depressingly good. :D
