Hi There

So I need to surface a birthday cake… icing (hopefully including tiny glittery sugary particles) and also whipped cream.
Just wondering if anyone can throw out some quick suggestions of how to best achieve these surfaces?

Thanks

Cheers

Paul

Maybe try some tests using the car paint node for the icing?
For the Wcream you could try to use a normal map / bump map to get the right indentations. Look at pictures of both for reference. :)

I'm betting that cream-type surfaces have a fair amount of subsurface scattering of light, so the SSS shaders are probably the right way to go.
