Here's a few snapshots of a battery powered throw down box that uses an AJA Fido Transmitter to reclock coaxial HDSDI and simultaneously convert to single mode fiber via LC connectors. Using a 12v 7a battery, the unit runs for 20 hours. we've built matching battery packs that can tether to these units and extend the life an additional 20 hours. the cost to build was about 900$/ea. effectively this unit fed from an HDSDI camera and 300' of Canare Lv-77s coax reclocks the signal allowing an additional 300' on the output. In fact, we've built several and reclocked, reclocked, reclocked and reclocked thru 1200' of coax...albeit increasing the latency.
