Wouldn't this be nice.

A tool where you can draw polygons and that snaps to the closest polygon when making a new one?

Or am I dreaming too much?

Looks good but how would lightwave know what you wanted to do? I think what you want is an edge bevel tool. But, you'd click the edge you want the bevel and drag it out and maybe drag on the points to make the edge wider/thiner. Then right click and you can drag another edge out.

Good question Karmacop :)

I think it's duable if the mousepointer had a invisible 3-dimentional sphere it used to select the area, based on that 3-dimentional selection, LW should be able to know where to add the polygon(s).

You're idea is not too bad either :)

Sounds like Newtek needs to implement the ESP prototcol in the next version!

Hey, did you know you can kind of already do this with the Magic Bevel tool. The trick is to start with a 2 point poygon. The wider it is the higher the precision number has to be. Works great.
I guess the only downfall is you can't drag off branches...well you can - you'll just have to delete off the extra geometry.
Anyway - better than nothin'.
