Something like this might do the job :

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dstorm.co.jp%2Fdsproducts%2Fplu gins%2FLiquidPack%2Findex.html

For some reason, the store isn't translatable. Damn. (I think the SSL defeats the translation). It looks like the plugin is not available, though. Perhaps e-mail them and ask?

have you tried to contact them via twitter and ask them. I tried to find the link but sadly I also do not understand the language - quite the challenge ;)

Buy button isn't on that page you have to go to their online store (https://store.dstorm.co.jp/). But I'm not finding it in the online store either.

sorry,
they took it down from the website afaik
(even though they have a large picture of it at the online store)

in order to get a hold of it you have to write them a mail at http://www.newtek.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=94034&stc=1&d=1301423987

again,
no english doc, doesnīt work with LW10, but works with 9.6
price is about $360 (before $460)

as far as i can tell it's very fast...

Sweet, looks like fun. Let us know if you go for it. If you need help with docs, I'm not completely fluent in Japanese but I have plenty of resources that should get me in the neighborhood.

This is a good idea, doing a picture of email addresses so spambots don't grab the address for their nasty purposes  Nice thinking

Hi everybody,

Has anybody in the English speaking world managed to get a copy of this? I really need to do some fluid effects, but Real Flow is way too expensive (4000 US at last count) and since it works outside of Lightwave, I don't think it will do what I want.

I'm trying to create a beach scene with Poser Pro 2010 where people are in and near the water. Wading, dunking their feet, possibly even swimming. I'm hoping to make it so when the people move, it affects the water. I can bring the Poser scene into Lightwave, but the LW's fluid effects are just not sophisticated enough to make it look anywhere near right.

I have a Japanese friend who's command of English is limited, but may be able to help with some of the translations.

Thanks,

Hey,

Thanks a lot for the quick response. I'd love to use the Blender Fluid system, for I've heard that it's very good, but there's no way to import Poser scenes into Blender so the fluid can interact with poser figures, and that's what I need.

Thanks for the email address Erikals. I already had the address and have talked to them before, but the only way I could pay for it they said was to put my credit card number in an open email, and I was not willing to do that.

Later,

Whoa! Blast from the past!

Thanks for the heads up, but Next Limit just released a "Learning Edition" of Real Flow that is very reasonably priced, so for me, there's no need to use this.

Later,

cresshead

so price is
29,800.00 JPY = 245.450 GBP

cresshead,.. yep. (waiting for a confirmation email)

true, but you're not allowed to sell anything you make with RF LE.
$4000 is a tad much i think. (hell, they raised the price again...?)

I agree with both of you.

$245 is very reasonable to learn software that could make you more desirable as employee.

If you are working as an independent artist, a learning edition isn't of much use.

Now if they adopted the lease model that some compositing companies are using where you could say spend $750 for a three month subscription that would be great. Buy the Learning Edition so you know how to use it. Then when you get a paying gig you tack on the lease cost to the project bid.

But yeah, right now not so much.

I'm not in the business. I just do 3D as a hobby. I'm not good enough, young enough, or tough enough to try to make a living out of it.

I have a friend on Foundation 3D who worked on Captain America as a freelancer, and said it was four of the must brutal months of his life! :bangwall:

$245 instead of 4 grand so I can pursue a passion of mine in my spare time is a very reasonable price indeed.

btw, anyone knows if liquid pack has a 33000 particles limit?
(or was it my poor graphics card that set the limit for me... hmm...)
