OOh no, no no :D

The British TV sitcom "My family" is finally coming to and end this year :(

"Now that all the Harper children have fled the nest we feel it's time to make room for new comedies,"

That's a good enough reason but still, it sucks is coming to an end.

How many of you guys/girls Love the series? (I do :D)

no doubt it'll be replaced with something equally cheap, generic and unfunny.

It started out ok, but after the first couple of series it had done it's best. I think it's done 10 series which is way too much for something like that. Done to death.

My Family was good for a season or 2, then it just became a below average sitcom. The time to retire it is long past.

Be glad you don't remember Citizen Smith.
Oh, the days when Robert Lyndsay was funny. How I miss them.

I remember back in my 30's, I used to really enjoy British television, watching on UHF channel 31 mostly.

I particularly remember one comedy show - the main character was a cartoonist who used to always wear a puppet on his hand when working (in his home).

I forget the name of that show but I remember enjoying it a lot.

Of course my favorite till this day is Blake's 7, I WISH they'd air that show again I have all the episodes on VHS tape and I'm too lazy to convert all 56 eps to DVD not to mention some of my tape have developed drop outs being well over 15+ years old.

I was fortunate to have recorded those shows on "regular" VHS tapes; other stuff I have recorded on Super-VHS has degraded very badly over time!

The higher frequencies just melt off the tapes way faster than the regular recordings...

I have had the chance to see UFO aired in HD recently still very enjoyable...
