Hi everybody !
I'm trying to import a .obj point colored mesh exported from Photosynth
(clic on point clouds just at the right of the "?" button to see the the photo scan!)
Is there a way to translate the textured mesh in lwo?
I made it from a point cloud with Meshlab
that works fine!
but how can i import the "colored points" texture in Lw?

Nobody tried vertex colored map ?
I don't understand why the .obj mesh imported in lw has not the colored points i recorded in meshlab

(for applying texture, i guess i might have tried projecting the textures in layout to the object, for then to bake them...)

not sure what you mean by "colored points"... could you post a screengrab...?

I saw many videos you made that help every body, thanks.
Perhaps free Meshlab give you solution for Triangulate Points questions
anyway, i begin to explore it and it's very usefull.

I know there are some troubles in my mind about maps
maybe that's why i don't prepare my .obj correctly.
I try to follow Josh Harle's tutos to model a place for a dance performance
But i don't get 3ds max


i succeed to get the mesh with SynthExport he made ; so the workflow is almost complete except for the texture

also consider a laser scanner, (399 EUR)

the object i must model is a street with a station!
it's too big
the photosynth is very hopefull cheap alternative to laser scanners

(look at the point cloud close to the "?")
Is it possible to get the photo texture from a David laser scan in Lw?

for the house /street, i would just do this manually... (by using a tape measure) then apply the photos as UV textures in photoshop....

no, it'd have to be done manually in LW by applying textures from different angles and then bake and combine them...

That's what i did in the beginning
i own imagemodeler and came in the autodesk Project Photofly

but for now they only export in autodesk format
that's why i was looking for alternatives
i realy like the drawing free style of the point clouds
