Take a look at this video (this is Win, but maybe it relates to Mac as well): http://www.liberty3d.com/2011/02/project-messiah-and-lightwave-pipeline/

I got a copy when it was at that special price but I haven't got around to installing yet (so no use to you I'm afraid!). I'm a bit annoyed that I have to have a USB stick permanently plugged in to get the licence to work.

That only applies if you want a portable license. If you are so put off by the USB stick you can just install it to your HD as a permanent license.

I think you only have that option on a PC, you have to use the USB option on a Mac. :)

Hi thanks for messages. From what I've read, lightwave messiah intergration isn't the best, seems to work on the pc side ok as in the video. http://www.liberty3d.com/2011/02/project-messiah-and-lightwave-pipeline/
One could try point oven but I don't have the time or money to invest in that plugin.
For my purposes I'll be using the modeler to model( in lightwave ) and messiah to animate and render.
