I have an animation with a particle emmiter.

Is there any way to make the particles themselves cast light? I was hoping to use them as the sole source of illumination for the scene.

You can use Hypervoxels to emit light in a radiosity scene. You need volumetric radiosity on and the HyperVoxels need their luminosity turned up to very high levels as shown in the very ugly attached scene. The room is blue and there's no light but the HVs.

I have a similar scene. Hypervoxels are the way to go.

Both of those are awesome and exactly what i was looking for!

There's just one problem... They were made with a version of LW greater than 9.3.1. Is it possible to save a scene with that will work with previous versions? Is there any way either of you would consider reposting after such a resave?
