View Full Version : FiberFX don`t work with MDD Deformer..

I have a mesh that is being deformed by an MDD cache, the mesh has FiberFX and also Collision detection, when i try to simulate the hair, neither the hair or the collision generated object follow the deformation of the mesh..

So, how can lightwave 10 work with hair simulation and collision in objects that has MDD cache?

thanks for the answer.

Unfortunately i can not share the file.

But i think that one of the issues may be that the way i attach the guides to the mesh was just by parent them under the same mesh.
Perhaps there is another way to stick the guides in the mesh other than parent them under?....also stick the collision generated mesh to the deformed (by MDD) mesh?

If you use guides for the hair you will have to create a separate MDD for them. We use a hybrid curve/hairguide object for our Messiah -> LW pipeline, as Messiah can't do handle the guides but likes the curves that generate them.
Fur should work fine, though the new MDD handling takes place last now which is a pain.
