View Full Version : Speed up colour workflow - curves?

The VPR has been an excellent enhancement in getting work done but I'm getting really frustrated when it comes to tweaking colours. What I really want is an AE or PS style interactive curves editor that allows me to quickly & easily change a range of colours/contrasts without dealing with seperated colour channels & sliders. Is there one out there for LW? I think a lot of designers would find it useful.

I know the function nodes are quite useful for this but they are a bit cold a technical to use.

Also, is there a preference that will automatically update the node editor depending on what surface I've selected (there's too much clicking to do in LW!)? Can't find one.

Other than that, having a lovely day :)

There's a Curve function node in the DP_Kit plugin set.
It's not the most elegant solution, but it may be slightly more comfortable to work with.

I'd like to see more compositing type nodes available. Some color correction nodes would be nice too.

Thanks for the pointer. Looks a lot more promising, mainly for greyscale stuff, as in the vid.

I agree, I think theres a big hole in the market for LW colour correction tools. If I was clever I'd write some myself!

I was looking through the list of nodes in the DP_Kit and noticed that it does have a curves node that works downstream and with color channels.

Thanks for the pointer, will take a closer look (DP to the rescue, again!)
