Morning everyone,

I'm having a small issue w/fiberFX and getting it to render all frames correctly. i setup a few renders last nite of some sequences that rendered fine for the most part save an occasional frame that would show the hair all spiraled out. I'm attaching 2 sequential frames to show what i mean.

Frame 68

Frame 69

I only have a few frames like this in each anim. Now when i went back to rerender the individual frames they are still mucked up like this. So its something inthe evaluation? Is it possible to reset fiberFX's evaluation on the hair or something? Some cache i can nuke?

Thanks for the help everyone! Oh and sorry for the large images, just realized they were full rez after i posted them. :(
Cheers
Bryan

Well, I can't help you with FiberFX... but I can suggest that you should look in the graph editor to make sure nothing at all has anything unexpected going on at that frame. Something could be spinning through 360 degrees from one frame to the next at that point, or there could just be a wacked out keyframe on something. (There's nothing about it visually that says to me it's definitely a FiberFX problem...)

Hmmm no it doesn't seem to have anything strange on it. Now i do have it parented to a cube thats got animation data brought in from maya... u think that might be doing it? If so, whats the best method for baking animation down to an object in LW?

Honestly? I'll be happier with a second opinion. (Hello? Anybody?) I feel odd dispensing information like I *know*...

But anyway, baking...
This thread has Cageman's excellent tut vids:

MFmotionBaker is here:

...Unfortunately all the descriptive info has been removed from the MentalFish site (I assume temporarily) but it should be covered by the Cageman tut.
