Hello
ok so here is my first planed out attempt of a room.
its no way near as simple as i thought it would be to get a realistic looking room, as you can see i didn't get to realistic, but im happy with what i finished with, gota start stemware :)

just realised that the dore frame is quite short. so i have fixed that
and thanks Steve Gilbert for advising me to *** a person in the scene.
it did make it look better and determined the scale of the objects. :)

The scale still seems off. Either that guy is an NBA center or your house is built for a vertically challenged person.

Go round your house with a tape measure and measure door sizes, skirting board height and depth etc etc and it will give you a guide for your model. This is also an excellent resource for UK building regs and other useful information:

I think the scales off too... especially if you want to make it in comparison with the figure you put in.

-The stairway steps are too packed together, the average foot should be a bit longer than the step itself
-The railing needs to be raised, its typically at waist level
-Many stairways have railings on both sides
