I need to make a model pen in lightwave for class very soon, our professor didn't make much clear and I could use alot of help. Not even sure how to start, I am obviously a noob to this. If someone can give me a tutorial or step by step instructions it would be a real life saver. Anyone?

Please message me, and thank you for your time!

You should press your teacher for more help. That's their job.

There are a multiple number of ways to model what you want;
-Draw the profile and use the lathe tool.
-Start with a box and use the bevel tool and use sub'ds (Tab key)
-Start with a ball and move the points around until you have the shape you want. Use the Move, Stretch, Taper tool.

This would work in LW except you would use the bevel tool or multishift instead of the extrude. http://www.republicofcode.com/tutorials/3ds/pen/

(couldn't resist)

But I agree with Nick.

Dood, if your instructor hasn't made this clear, you need to straight up ask him. He probably thinks he did make it clear.

I used to teach LW, and believe me, I was happy to help anyone who asked.
