I found an app in the Droid marketplace called "AdvSunMoon". It makes use of the GPS function of the phone to give me instant feedback on the altitude and azmuthe of the sun at that point in time at my location given in Degrees and seconds. I'm interested in this to compsite anims in LW or Afftereffects with videos shot outdoors. I read that the distant light in layout only uses rotation not position. I'm hopeing I can use distant light to plug these numbers directly into the heading and pitch fields in layout to give me a precise match easily. I know I would also need to take a compass reading of the real world video cameras heading at the time. Oh wait maybe heading for real world camera compass reading, pitch for altitude and and bank for azmuthe. Can anyone tell me am I thinking of this correctly will this work ?:help:
