View Full Version : HOW to convert LWS rig so i can open it in Modeler??

HOW can i convert layout bone rig so i can open it in Modeler??
I need to adapt a Mocap BVH motion and i'de like to pick up it's proportions.

no Layout in front of me , but you can export the rig from layout into modeller and vice-versa .

Thats what i did but in modeler you dont have import rig though, it has to do with powergons i'm sure.

Alright i GOt it!!!

In modeler just go to SETUP tab/ More / Mocap Skelegons and import a BVH file.

I think export rig just saves the rig seperately from the scene file and can only be loaded back into Lyaout. theres a d-storm plugin that will let you send a rig to modeler as skelegons for editing. and ISTR Dodgy may also have whippped one up....


http://www.mikegreen.name/ (look for Update Bones - but it worls differently than I thought. in this one you have skelegons opened in modeler and the converted rig in Layout , and any changes you make in Modeler are propagated to the rig in layout.
