Dumb question. For those that have ordered and received LW10, well first have you received an actual disc in the mail, or just a download? Then the dump part did it come with a pair or more of 3D glasses, even cardboard ones? The new 3D features would be kind of useless out of the box without them.

Haha It's a download, so is the 3D glasses. You can download them in the download area ;)

I hope they plan to eventually ship a disc, maybe when CORE is released. I'd like to complete my collection of boxes on my shelf. lol

Those glasses are cheap and easy to get. No reason for NT to add them to make the function usefull. But I guess they could.

Make some nice ones and sell them in the NewTek shop?

I've never heard of any place around here that sells them if they're so cheap it shouldn't be a problem at all. When Monsters vs. Aliens came on TV they gave away big sheets of them at local supermarkets. If they're so cheap it shouldn't be a problem at all for NT to include a couple of pairs in the box.

That might be nice if you're really going to be using them a lot, but it's still a second item to buy after you just spent a bunch of money on LW10.

Funny that they were handing them out like candy at siggraph for free. You'd think NT could stuff all of those extra glasses into a box and ship them to paying customers.

Do you really feel the need to have anaglyph glasses? I've done some 3D work and have some spare, a couple hundred spare actually. When that moment comes I can send you one.

But you're right, NT sells a program capable of produce stereoscopy and doesn't push it more, including .20 cent carboard glasses.

Have not played with the 3D capabilities in LW 10 (the part that uses the glasses)… So what kind of 3D class does one order- polarized, red and cyan, or red and green? Any one know?

From what I saw the open GL 3D is just red / cyan, though there's probably an easy way to change the colors..
