From the way the HardCore people talk "Core" won't be much of a program when it is released. The reason I say this is because when asked the HardCore people seem to be unable to answer whether "Core" will be 80-95% of modeler capability and 40-50% of layout.

They claim "Core" will have UV, dynamics, and animation. After 2 years of beta testing they seem unable to answer these simple question of what percentage of "Core"will over lap that of Lightwave 10 with core technology.

The only issue them seem sure of is that you will need lightwave 10 for the next several years while NewTek takes its sweet time building "Core".

This will of course cost you $495.00 per upgrade, and you must buy each upgrade as they are released. If you miss an upgrade then it will cost you $695.00 for the next upgrade. That is if you buy lightwave 10 before the release of "Core".

Oooh, and they call me cruel. I would have said modo lite.

yeah but Modo: modeler seems cool... lighting & surfacing seems designed by crackheads (shader tree = nightmare fuel). so i'm still looking for a Lightwave replacement... unless NewTek ever releases a fixed 9.6.1 Mac version... and that wont be CORE. this decade, at least...
