View Full Version : parenting emitters to bones

Hi, I'm animating a complicated with a spaceship with a lot of turrets on it and I'm using bones and weight maps to animate the turrets. I'm parenting an emitter to the bone controlling the gun of the turret (which is driven by IK) and the emitter moves with the bone but the particles are only emitted from the original position of the emitter. This causes a problem when I move the turret and the particles are emitted from thin space. Does anyone know why this is happening? (I have lightwave 9.6, btw.)

Works fine for me. See the attached file. Is this what you're trying to do?
