View Full Version : Motion lower thirds in VT[3]

Oh great Toaster masters,

How would one negotiate a motion lower third and using changing text in front of that motion lower third and transitioning between cameras behind the motion lower third and text. I'd like to do this in a live setting.

I ask the moon, can the Toaster give it to me?

Let me take a shot at this.

Put your motion lower third animation with alpha (I'd suggest to use an RTV with alpha) on a DDR. Then, set the DSK to use that DDR.

Now, whenever, you want to get your animated lower third, just start the DDR playing (try loop if the anim is loopable) and hit the fade key in the DSK.

Should work. I can't confirm each step since I'm not sitting in front of a toaster machine right now. Also, I don't have VT[3] yet but I can't imagine that this changed??

Good luck,

Yes, Irfan is correct.
You can indeed transition cameras behind your lower third, once you have assigned that alpha-enabled animation as a downstream key.
