Lets say I want a bullet to come out of the gun at a certain frame, how do I bring in the bullet to start at frame 34 and not appear in frames before 34, before it comes out of the gun. Is there a way to do this?

Lots of different ways. You can keyframe it out of shot for the first 33, then in shot on 34, you can set a dissolve envelope on it, you can resize it to make it invisibly small then jump it up to normal size in one frame, you can hide it with a matte object, you can simply move it into the barrel of the gun... there are loads of others too. :)

What Wrench SAID "damn to slow"

generaly I dissolve the object in and out , more control , you need to use the graph editor to keyframe when it comes on .

LAYOUT :Object "object properties" : Render Tab "Object Dissolve" E , Keyframe on-off

the alternative is to render to frame 32 with no bullet or object ,stop render . add object frame 33 , continue render . "but that can get messy"
