Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

Im new to Modeller/Layout, but tried this tutorial:


but used a flat grid, not a sphere. I divided the grid 10m x 10m grid into 50 x 50 square segments using the numeric panel - turned these into subpatches and followed the steps in the tutorial.

It "worked" in that I got lots of random "grass" but how you get from this stage to photoreal astroturf with DOF??!

Perhaps you should try FFX instead to get more photoreal grass. Another way is to use DPonts Instancing plugin.
