Could work as a dating site since Universities are so expensive these days?

- Conceptual Art is just a flopsy marketing term and only those silly enough to still believe in Art... although of course, millions of Americans still believe in God:D

Hey ! That's a great idea. Maybe you could do a YouTube video featuring yourself
talking about all the different boards offered on: AllArtAllTheTime.Proboards.com
That would be very cool if you could produce such a product. If it was high-quality
and lasted only 2 to 3 minutes I'd have to send you one of my $500. ink drawings
( size: 11" X 14" ) to express appreciation for your efforts. I might have to send
you two $500. drawings depending on the work you put into the project.
Just a suggestion to think about.

Yes, I'm trying my dang best to comply with all your detailed instructions.Swell. Here's a little light reading from Wikipedia, to help you while away the time between posts:

Most forum spam consists of links to external sites, with the dual goals of increasing search engine visibility in highly competitive areas such as weight loss, pharmaceuticals, gambling, pornography, real estate or loans, and generating more traffic for these commercial websites. Some of these links contain code to track the spambot's identity if a sale goes through, when the spammer behind the spambot works on commission.

Spam posts may contain anything from a single link, to dozens of links. Text content is minimal, usually innocuous and unrelated to the forum's topic, or in a very old thread that is revived by the spammer solely for the purpose of spamming links. Some text is included to prevent the post being caught by automated spam filters that prevent posts which consist solely of external links from being submitted. Full banner advertisements have also been reported.

Alternately, the spam links are posted in the user's signature, in which case the spambot will never post. The link sits quietly in the signature field, where it is more likely to be harvested by search engine spiders than discovered by forum administrators and moderators.

Well, I guess I'll NEVER become a spammer !! Why? It's below me to try and make money
in such a deviant way. Nobody could even pay me to be a spammer for them. I'm just
not that kind of person and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Guess my parents back in
Illinois taught me to be more honest. In fact, I hate that kind of activity !!
Yet, I do feel sorry for those individuals who have to stoop that low.

Well, I guess I'll NEVER become a spammer !! Why? It's below me to try and make money in such a deviant way. Nobody could even pay me to be a spammer for them. And yet, this statement aside, your participation in this forum is a perfect match for that sort of activity. Posts crammed full of links to take people offsite, many of which at least appear to be plugs for artwork, re-starting ancient threads as an excuse to post, not even trace evidence of either ownership nor use of NewTek products, etc. etc.

If one would (quite optimistically) accept your declamation as true, it must be said that the old adage 'if it quacks like a duck' carries at least as much weight. Still, you work so hard at it, it is providing some little amusement for a few members, so 'Lay on, Macduff, and damn'd be him that first cries, "Hold, enough!"'

There is one thing I don't understand regarding this website ( maybe you can explain ).
If the members and you are sooo into LightWave 3D.....why is there so little artwork
posted within the 'LW-Gallery-Finished' board ? If everyone here is working so hard
doing stuff with LightWave 3D ( or more currently with LightWave 10 ) I would think
there would be tons of images or links to images posted on that board. I just don't get
it.....so, I hope you or someone else can explain this situation to me.

Maybe LightWave 3D is too hard to use....or members can't master it.

Well, two things to say about that:

First of all, I'm only a casual LW user, and others may have much more to say about the topic. Nevertheless, there are some 4000+ threads in that forum, and >6000 in the W.I.P gallery, which are just two of those hosted here. By default, the forum only shows the last year's worth of posts.

Second, I really don't need to defend the content, either as respects quality or quantity (though I think the work is often quite good). All I need to point to is the moderation policy, which states in part, "the NewTek Discussion Forums are not a free speech zone, they are for professional and civil discourse regarding NewTek products by NewTek users."

On the latter point, civility alone can be seen to fail to justify participation. Some tolerance as regards topics is shown to those who have become part of the NewTek community over the years, but in the end this forum is provided by a commercial enterprise primarily for the benefit and use of its paying customers. I hope that helps clarify matters.

Steve, one of the things is that many people here are involved with LW (or any other NT product for that matter) professionally and lots of work does not belong to them but the companies they work for, in many cases they have to ask for a permission to publicly show their work here ;)

... in many cases they have to ask for a permission to publicly show their work here ;)Yes, NDAs crossed my mind, but I didn't feel the need to spend a lot of time on the original inquiry (>10k threads in the galleries seems like a reasonable number to me). :)

The difference being these four don't require you to leave this site and go to another forum which seems to have the unique quality of being the only forum I've ever seen in which virtually every thread consists of posts from one individual, in turn comprised pretty much entirely of links, and then return you here. :)
