Hello
ok i have been wondering if there is a way to put a bump map on an object and they get a glow effect within that bump.
for example if you had a crack bump map on a flow and you wanted the cracks to glow.

how would you go by doing this, because apart from the "enable glow" option i cant find any other glow options around.

Corona, the plugin under pixel filters, not the beer.

Oh... and using special buffers, you can limit it to a particular zone.

You can make a gradient with Bump set as the input parameter. You might have to use a layers node if you're doing your surfacing in the node editor. You can set your color or luminosity with this kind of gradient. It won't automatically give you a glow effect, but it'll brighten the area so image filters like bloom or corona can pick it up... especially if you overcrank the luminosity. Of course, you could also do the glow in post if you have a compositing app.
