I'm missing some plugins, or at least that's what The error messages say... I tried to fix it by re- installing the software, but Nothing's working. I'm missing MotionMixer and a few other plugins, and I can't open up scene Editor. PLS help!!!

Re-scan the folder that holds your plug-ins.

These are the native lightwave plugins. I don't know what folder you're referring to.

There should be a plug-ins folder inside where your LW is installed. Re-scan that folder and it'll re-add all your plug-ins.

how do I re-scan it?

Open Layout, hold down Alt and press f11 to bring up the "Edit Plug-Ins" window. Then click "Scan Directory", navigate to the directory where your plugins are, and click OK. When Lightwave has finished scanning the directory for plugins, it will tell you how many it found. Click OK and click "Done" to exit the window. I find it best to close Lightwave and restart it after doing this, to make sure it writes its config files.
Don't forget to do the same thing in Modeler as well.

you might also need to tell us what version your running of lightwave (7,8,9,10) and what operating system such as windows xp, vista, windows7, osx snow leopard. [mac/pc]

the folder structure has changed for lightwave 10 just to let you know also.

I scanned the folder Applications>Lightwave 3d>SharedSupport>Plugins
and It did nothing.

The plugins directory for mc is now: /applications/newtek/lightwave3d10.0/support/plugins

But i would not scan the whole folder, i recommend scanning each folder except legacy or core.

I tried to re-install lightwave, and that didn't work. I'm starting to get scared...

maybe a virus is eating away at the LW program folder?
have you done a virus scan?

SonicN2O

I'm pretty sure it's not a virus... How do you scan for master plugins?

When you go to Edit Plug-ins does anything show up? If you click on File you can see where LW is pulling in your plug-ins from. LW also needs to be able to write out to the ext plug-in file.

First off... time to get over your affinity for animated smileys :p

With that under control. Uninstall and reinstall, don't just reinstall. Your config are probably screwed up. Delete them (no clue where they're saved on a Mac, so you'll have to figure that out yourself), then reinstall. If you delete the configs, uninstall LW, then reinstall and your plugins are still missing, kindly defenestrate your computer.
