The device, part of Cornell's [email protected] project, consists of a set of syringes that deposit the 'inks' layer by layer to produce a finished meal. Right now, it's limited to liquid substances including chocolate, cake batter and processed cheese, meaning that even the best chef might struggle to create a truly cordon bleu meal.

Reminds me of an idea that Asimov came up with decades ago, but in his idea they genetically alter yeast to look and taste like everything else from strawberries to steak.

All I can say is Star Trek is looking more and more realistic.
1)Computers producing food
2)Computers producing objects
3)Flip phones
4)satellite phones
5)Satellites reaching outer edges of our galaxy
6)Telescopes capable of seeing further into space
7)remote vehicles on other planets
8)lasers that can cut

Now someone hurry up and invent a warp engine. I want the first ride. And yes I have heard of talks about the design of the engine, but when it goes from paper to reality, thats going to be cool.
