View Full Version : UV Map Node: Fed into image node?

I have a node setup that I use frequently where I have a few 2D texture nodes (image, normal, etc.) running into my surface. I usually copy and paste this between a bunch of different surfaces. I'd like to be able to run a single UV Map node into each of the 2D texture nodes but I'm not sure how. I feed the node into the U Offset and V Offset of the Image node but that doesn't seem to work (i.e. it appears that no image is mapped to the object.) Mapping is set to UV Map inside of the Image node, but no map is selected. Any advice?

You can do this with DPKit Layers Plus (e.g. Color Layer+) and DPKit UV node.

Thanks for your response, but I am still doing something wrong. My node setup is attached. Inside of the Texture Editor I have not selected a map from the UVMap dropdown menu, as I want that to be controlled by an external node. If things are going as I want them, I believe that the dropdown would be grayed out once an external input is overriding it, right?

Set the projection to Planar and the axis to Z, that should work.

Seems you have an old DPKit, better get the latest version from Denis' site.:)
