I have a folder of sport logos that I would like to send to an LT page via a DataLink text file. Possible?

I am curious how to pull images via text file as well. Anyone?

If I'm reading the original question correct, you could have a folder with your logos or graphics and choose which one to bring into LiveText via a text file. In your text file create a key=value pair that has "logo" and the file path of the chosen logo. For example, your text file could say logo1=C:/Brian/logos/logo1.png. make sure to save this text file to your Text Input folder for LT2.

In LiveText, use the normal method for adding an image to the page. When the image is on the page, right click on the image and select the "logo1" data input. Now, when you change the file path in the text file, the image should change.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Brian,

I did not think it would be that easy!

Yep, for every team we do games for we create a PNG logo that is 300x300 pixels so they are all the same size. We can format them into our graphics and then change the text file to reflect the teams we're covering -- and not have to worry about resizing the logos.

This is also a nice, quick way to show individual player stats in the lower third, along with a player photo. (At least it works well for your home team. Forget about getting player photos from the visiting team in time to crop them for your production.)

Another cool trick using this same concept is using a PNG of various colors to define the team colors, ie: homecolor= C:\Program Files\NewTek\LiveText\Stats Plugins\Text Input\gold.png

I scale and position the PNG on multiple scorelines and graphics.
