View Full Version : Problem with emitter parented to IK

Hi Folks,
Bumped into this problem:
I have an emitter parented to an arm. The emitter acts as a gun.
It is supposed to shoot particles straight out without any declination.
When I drive the spine of this character via IK the emitted particles are slanting away.
Tried a few tricks but problem still exists.
Any help appreciated.

I assume you have Parent Motion in the particle settings all the way at 0%?

Yes, set to 0.

What if you bake the motion of the null that your emitter is parented to? This way your emitter isn't replying on IK motion but just baked world co-ordinates motion.

Try clicking 'calculate.' It gets everything communicating.
