Sorry to Cross-post, but I wanted to get the word out even to people who don't frequent the LW Community board

Just to let y'all know that there will be a special festival screening in Manhattan. ACM NYC SIGGRAPH is showing the premiere of their MetroCaf Festival screening; here's the website for details

The two Lightwave animations are done by students at the prestigious Long Island University's Brooklyn Campus. Both projects were created and rendered out as part of our MA630: 3D Computer Animation graduate class taught by Professor Marjan Moghaddam.

The first animation is a short by student Kirk Mullis, and the other is done by student Richard Hagen (yours truly), and were chosen to be among the 28 animations being shown for this festival.

The contest was only open to NYC area schools, but the festival screening is, of course, open to anyone who wants to enjoy some fine works of animation!

If you're in the area on September 30th at 7pm, stop by! :-)
