View Full Version : Saving for 3ds Max

Hello all-
I am saving my LW 9.5 modeler room object to go into 3ds Max 2010. I am not completely sure how to do it other than to use the Export 3ds command. But when I do, I am getting the message:

3ds Export Failed: code 1
3ds Export Failed: Polygons with 3 vertices only.

Can anyone help me here?

The 3DS format only supports triangles, and not many of them (I think it's limited to 64k tris). Try saving as a .DXF or .OBJ.

Thank you B, still getting the error messages, but this time it says:

DXF Export: Operation Failed: code 1
DXF Export: Polygons with >4 vertices not supported.

How do I change the vertices count? And anyone know what code 1 is?

Shift+T will triple all that need it.

You could export as FBX instead
