I found that the tut files from newtek are pretty good for learning stuff... http://www.newtek.com/lightwave/24hours_training.php

and also invaluable are youtube channels of various folks from these boards like for example... http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=bugzilla2001#g/u

Also here... http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104952

Hope this is the kind of thing you mean :)

I don't have any recommendations for learning 3D graphics online. However, I'd personally recommend this book as the best general LW book I know of, and very good if you're starting from scratch:

Essential Lightwave v9
by Warner, Phillips and Albee

After that, aside from the free tuts on YouTube there are plenty more scattered around on people's homepages. Many of these, though, tend to be more advanced than the beginner level, some of them *much* more advanced:

I haven't tried Dan Ablan's videos, but any of his Inside Lightwave books are top notch.

If you are interested in character rigging, I would suggest Rebel Hill's vids: www.rebelhill.net

I would also highly recommend Splinegod's videos, which are available from www.liberty3d.com

L3D has a variety of other great tutorials as well.

Alright and wonderful. All of you really came through with enough tuts to keep me busy all the way into my next lifetime.

I thank you all for this :) .......
