I am working on this project : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_3P1uNcuCc

As you can see the lens flair crosses in front of the model.......any ideas how to get rid of that.

Also have forgotten how to create a good starfield.....not the points themselves but how to texture them.

I appreciate any ideas.

Thanks

In the lens flare panel there should be a check box for "Fade Behind Objects". You could also try adding your lens flare in a compositing package. You'll have more control over it in there.

As for your starfield...are you trying to create a nebula? It doesn't make sense that you're trying to texture points.

I seem to remember there was a technique in creating stars with color variation, size, brightness and glow.....but I have forgotten how. Last time I attempted it was in LW6......at the time there were tutorials on the topic and I can't find any now.

Not sure about size but you could put a procedural on the color and luminosity channel.

Do any of these help?
