I suspect Jay won't be returning. Rob Powers and Chuck are the ones in charge of managing 3D development now.

Kinda strange, just left??? What about the whole LW 9 and the early CORE development, in fact THOR alpha versions?
No announcements...I just feel they both are great professionals, and working together looked a great choice for CORE and beyond...

From what I was able to gather I think it was a pretty smooth transition in management since Rob came on board a 2-3 months or so before Jay left.

A ship only has a single heading, there's no point in having multiple wheels.

Whilst I agree there is something other than what we have been told, I'm not sure that I would say it's none of our business.

Well if there was no plans on Jay coming back they should not have said that he was on a 'leave of absence'. They could have just said that Rob was coming on and a month or two later that Jay was moving on. People switch jobs all the time. It's understandable and happens all the time. 'Leave of absence' implies a return at some point.

But if it's for personal reasons it's really none of our business. I can also think of a few logical reasons for the change so it's still not perfectly clear to me, btw. Not like it really matters.

As quoted from Twitter:

"jaymroth

"@csfalcao: no, I left Newtek some time ago."

And that is probably all we are going to get or need to know.
