Is there a way to use After Effects or Premiere in order to link a midi file with several video clips, and when importing the midi file to premiere or ae having the program show a particular clip depending on the note and respecting the duration (value) of it?

If so, how can I do it?

Are you wanting the midi file to control the playback sequence of clips within the video editor?

yes, playback sequence and also duration of each clip, if clip A is linked to the E note then everytime the midi calls for an E the video should play respecting the value of the note (whole, half, quarter, etc), is that possible?

Isn't it possible to view a midi file in a text editor and see all the notes and durations? I would imagine the amount of interaction your after would make a difference.

I would like the midi to automatize my editing process....is there a plug in for this?
