hi

is there a way to change the ambient occlusion colour to any colour i choose instead of black or grey? in nodes please

Feed the output into a Gradient node, you can colour the output there however you like.

thanks for your tips guys but i was thinking of not plugin it in the color channel. still plug to diffuse chanel but the occlusion is in color. example, if i have a brown wood texture applied on the color channel i wanted to have an occlusion of let us say greenish tint or darker brown that kind of blend to my wood texture. hope im clear on this one. thanks again.

We typically render out AO as a separate element for compositing. One one job I used this element as a mask to add color to shadows to simulate a 'Maxfield Parrish' look.

you could just set the desired colour tint as the backdrop colour, and set the occlusion colour mapping option to BG.
